The Thompsonville topped the host Pope County Pirates volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Monday's league test.
The now have a 8-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Norris City-Omaha-Enfield for a Greater Egyptian test on Tuesday, October 3. Thompsonville will confront a Fighting Cardinals team coming off a 2-0 league win over Carrier Mills-Stonefort (Carrier Mills, IL). The Fighting Cardinals record now stands at 23-1.
The Pirates (3-22) will now prepare for their test against Hardin County (Elizabethtown, IL). The Cougars enter the Greater Egyptian test with a 5-11 record. In their last test, Hardin County was knocked off by Carrier Mills-Stonefort (Carrier Mills, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
