In Wednesday's league outing, the host Cleveland Storm soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Piedra Vista Panthers.
The Storm (7-6) will now prepare for their outing against Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM). The Hawks go into the 5A District 1 outing with a 9-4 record. In their last outing, Volcano Vista got by Farmington (Farmington, NM), 5-2, in a league outing.
Next up, the Panthers play the Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM) in a 5A District 1 outing, on Saturday, October 5. Piedra Vista will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Rams go into the outing with a 6-6 record after their 1-1 league Cibola (Albuquerque, NM).
