The Scotland Fighting Scots edged the host Lumberton Pirates volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league game.
Next up, the Fighting Scots confront the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) in a game, on Thursday, October 3. Scotland will attempt to advance on its 12-6 season record. The Patriots go into the game with a 14-1 record after their 2-0 league win over Lee County (Sanford, NC).
The Pirates (6-6) will now prepare for their game against Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 0-8 record.
