In Wednesday's league outing, the visiting Providence Grove Patriots soccer squad scored a tight 6-4 victory over the Eastern Randolph Wildcats.
The Patriots (8-7) will now prepare for their outing against Lexington (Lexington, NC). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, Lexington by Salisbury (Salisbury, NC), 3-1, in a league outing.
Next up, the Wildcats play the Trinity Bulldogs (Trinity, NC) in a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A outing, on Monday, October 7. Eastern Randolph will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a 9-3 record after their 2-1 league loss to Randleman (Randleman, NC).
