Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA) and the host Grove City Eagles (Grove City, PA), saw Slippery Rock's soccer squad knock off Grove City by a count of 3-1.

The Rockets (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against Hickory (Hermitage, PA). The Hornets enter the District 10 Region 2 battle with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, Hickory tipped Sharon (Sharon, PA), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Eagles battle the Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 5. Grove City will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record.
