The Sutton Sammies soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting Hopedale Blue Raiders to 0 in the Sammies league victory on Wednesday.
The Sammies now hold a 9-1 record. They play next when they host Doherty Memorial for a non-league bout on Friday, October 4. Sutton will play a Highlanders squad coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Shepherd Hill Regional (Dudley, MA). The Highlanders record now stands at 7-2.
With the loss, Hopedale moves to 3-5 on the year. The Blue raiders host Northbridge (Whitinsville, MA) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Friday, October 4. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Northbridge won 6-1 in their recent non-league bout against Quaboag Regional (Warren, MA)
