Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Mt. St. Joseph Academy Green Wave (Rutland, VT) and the host Proctor Phantoms (Proctor, VT), saw Mt. St. Joseph Academy's soccer squad hold off Proctor by a count of 1-0.

The Green Wave (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Long Trail (Dorset, VT). The enter the SVL-D battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Long Trail was edged by Arlington Memorial (Arlington, VT), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Phantoms battle the West Rutland Golden Horde (West Rutland, VT) in a SVL-D battle, on Saturday, October 5. Proctor will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Golden Horde enter the battle with a 10-1 record after their 5-3 non-league win over Fair Haven (Fair Haven, VT).
