In Wednesday's league outing, the host North Lenoir Hawks soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the South Lenoir Blue Devils.

The Hawks (6-7) will now prepare for their outing against James Kenan (Warsaw, NC). The Tigers go into the East Central 2A outing with a 7-2 record. In their last outing, James Kenan got by Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC), 6-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Blue Devils play the East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC) in a East Central 2A outing, on Friday, October 4. South Lenoir will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Panthers go into the outing with a 5-5 record after their 6-5 league loss to Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC).
