Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Roosevelt Bears (Wyandotte, MI) and the host Richard Pioneers (Riverview, MI), saw Roosevelt's soccer squad hold off Richard by a count of 4-3.

The Bears (6-11) will now prepare for their battle against Airport (Carleton, MI). The Jets enter the non-league battle with a 16-5 record. In their last battle, Airport tipped Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit (West Bloomfield, MI), 10-2, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Pioneers battle the Inter-City Baptist Chargers (Allen Park, MI) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 5. Richard will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Chargers enter the battle with a 8-1 record after their 2-2 league Oakland Christian (Auburn Hills, MI).
