The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the M.L. King Lions (Lithonia, GA) and the visiting Cedar Grove Saints (Ellenwood, GA), observed M.L. King's softball team get by Cedar Grove by a tally of 18-17.

The Lions (5-13) will now prepare for their bout against Mays (Atlanta, GA). The Raiders go into the 4A Region 4 bout with a 5-9 record. In their last bout, Mays tipped Forest Park (Forest Park, GA), 15-6, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Saints clash with the Douglass Astros (Atlanta, GA) in a 3A Region 5 bout, on Thursday, October 3. Cedar Grove will attempt to advance on its 7-10 season record. The Astros go into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 13-0 league loss to Luella (Luella, GA).
