In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host Altavista Colonels volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Lunenburg Central Chargers.
The Colonels (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Governors come into the Dogwood challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Nelson County was beaten by Gretna (Gretna, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Chargers meet the Southampton Indians (Courtland, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 7. Lunenburg Central will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Greensville County (Emporia, VA).
