In Wednesday's league challenge, the host Animo Pat Brown Gryphons volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Animo Venice Pirates.

The Gryphons (10-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Alliance Health Services Academy (Los Angeles, CA). The Wolves come into the Ocean challenge with a 1-8 record. In their last challenge, Alliance Health Services Academy was beaten by Animo Watts (Los Angeles, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Pirates meet the Burton Scorpions (Los Angeles, CA) in a Ocean challenge, on Monday, October 7. Animo Venice will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record. The Scorpions come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 0-0 league Magnolia Science Academy Carson (Carson, CA).
