Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Century Centurions (Ullin, IL) and the host Meridian Bobcats (Mounds, IL), observed Century's volleyball team top Meridian by a count of 2-0.

The Centurions (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against Egyptian (Tamms, IL). The Pharaohs enter the South Egyptian contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Egyptian was knocked off by Meridian (Mounds, IL), 2-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Bobcats meet the Shawnee Redskins (Wolf Lake, IL) in a South Egyptian contest, on Thursday, October 3. Meridian will attempt to move on its 5-9 season record. The Redskins enter the contest with a 7-7 record after their 2-0 league loss to Cobden (Cobden, IL).
