In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host DePaul Catholic Spartans volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Eastern Christian Eagles.

The Spartans (4-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Academy of the Holy Angels (Demarest, NJ). The Angels enter the Big North - United challenge with a 1-9 record. In their last challenge, Academy of the Holy Angels was beaten by Hackensack (Hackensack, NJ), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Bogota Buccaneers (Bogota, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 4. Eastern Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Buccaneers enter the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Immaculate Heart Academy (Washington Township, NJ).
