In Wednesday's league challenge, the host Rio Hondo Prep Kares volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the EF Academy EF Academy.

The Kares (19-19) will now prepare for their challenge against Mayfield (Pasadena, CA). The Cubs enter the Prep challenge with a 18-6 record. In their last challenge, Mayfield beat Westridge (Pasadena, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the EF Academy meet the Providence Pioneers (Burbank, CA) in a Prep challenge, on Thursday, October 3. EF Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-14 season record. The Pioneers enter the challenge with a 8-12 record after their 3-0 league win over Rio Hondo Prep (Arcadia, CA).
