In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host St. Mary's Academy Cougars volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Landry Buccaneers.

The Cougars (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 3-11 record. In their last challenge, New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy was beaten by South Plaquemines (Buras, LA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Buccaneers meet the Edna Karr Cougars (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 3. Landry will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 0-0 non-league Academy of the Sacred Heart (New Orleans, LA).
