Dripping Springs Tigers (Dripping Springs, TX) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football squad smash the host Austin Maroons (Austin, TX), 56-14 in a league match.

The Tigers (6-0) will now prepare for their match against Bowie (Austin, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 6A Region IV District 26 match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Bowie routed Del Valle (Del Valle, TX), 48-21, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Maroons play the Westlake Chaparrals (Austin, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 26 battle, on Thursday, October 9. Austin will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Chaparrals go into the battle with a 4-1 record after their 66-0 league win over Akins (Austin, TX).
