In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Ashley Screaming Eagle soccer squad scored a tight 2-0 victory over the West Brunswick Trojans.
The Screaming Eagle (9-3) will now prepare for their test against Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Pirates come into the non-league test with a 10-3 record. In their last test, Topsail by Hoggard (Wilmington, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Trojans now have a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host Laney for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 7. West Brunswick will clash with a Buccaneers team coming off a 4-0 non-league win over New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 12-0.
