In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Alleghany Trojans volleyball squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Wilkes Central Eagles.
Next up, the Trojans face the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) in a non-league game, on Monday, October 6. Alleghany will attempt to advance on its 7-11 season record.
The Eagles (5-15) will now prepare for their game against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams go into the non-league game with a 12-6 record. In their last game, Starmount nudged North Wilkes (Hays, NC), 2-1, in a non-league game.
