Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) and the host Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC), observed Swain County's volleyball team hold off Andrews by a count of 2-1.

The Maroon Devils (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Murphy (Murphy, NC). The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 2-6 record.

The Wildcats now own a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they host Hayesville for a non-league contest on Tuesday, October 7. Andrews will meet a Yellowjackets team coming off a 2-1 league win over Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 17-1.
