Cupertino Pioneers (Cupertino, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA), 2-0 in a league challenge.
The Pioneers (14-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Lynbrook (San Jose, CA). The Vikings come into the challenge with a 8-1 record. In their last challenge, Lynbrook beat Wilcox (Santa Clara, CA), 2-0, in a league test.
The Firebirds now sport a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to MacDonald for a test on Monday, October 13.
