North Carolina High School Volleyball - St. Stephens tips McDowell

Fans at Thursday's league contest between the St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) and the visiting McDowell Titans (Marion, NC), observed St. Stephens's volleyball team hold off McDowell by a tally of 2-1.

The Indians (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 14-3 record. In their last contest, South Caldwell got by Freedom (Morganton, NC), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Titans meet the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 7. McDowell will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Pioneers enter the contest with a 17-1 record after their 2-0 league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC).
