Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars (12-8) will now prepare for their challenge against El Cajon Valley (El Cajon, CA). The Braves come into the challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, El Cajon Valley lost by West Hills (Santee, CA), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Monarchs play the West Hills Wolf Pack (Santee, CA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, October 14. Monte Vista will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record.
