In Thursday's non-league test, the host Alpena Wildcats soccer team scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Cadillac Vikings.

With the triumph, Alpena moves its record to 10-11 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Petoskey (Petoskey, MI) to confront the Northmen in a Big North outing on Monday, October 6. The Northmen go into the outing with a record of 6-8. Petoskey lost 6-0 in their recent non-league outing against Traverse City Central (Traverse City, MI)

Next up, the Vikings confront the Gaylord Blue Devils (Gaylord, MI) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, October 7. Cadillac will attempt to advance on its 3-11 season record. The Blue Devils come into the test with a 9-9 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Traverse City West (Traverse City, MI).
