The Monett Cubs soccer squad scored 9 points and held the host Aurora Houn Dawgs to 1 in the Cubs league victory on Thursday.

The Cubs now hold a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cassville for a Class 2 District 5 contest on Tuesday, October 7. Monett will face a Wildcats team coming off a 3-1 league win over New Heights Christian Academy (Joplin, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-6.

The Houn Dawgs (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against McDonald County (Anderson, MO). The Mustangs enter the Big 8 contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, McDonald County Pittsburg (Pittsburg, KS), 3-3, in a non-league contest.
