Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Grand Valley Mustangs (Orwell, OH) and the visiting Edgewood Warriors (Ashtabula, OH), saw Grand Valley's soccer squad hold off Edgewood by a count of 1-0.

The Mustangs (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against Badger (Kinsman, OH). The Braves enter the Northeastern battle with a 11-5 record. In their last battle, Badger tipped Pymatuning Valley (Andover, OH), 4-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Warriors confront the Jefferson Area Falcons (Jefferson, OH) in a Chagrin Valley - Lake battle, on Tuesday, October 7. Edgewood will attempt to move on its 7-3 season record.
