The Marathon Olympians smashed the visiting Groton Red Hawks soccer team by a tally of 7-0 in Thursday's league game.
Next, the Olympians face the Cincinnatus Central Lions (Cincinnatus, NY) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, October 7. Marathon will attempt to advance on its 11-0 season record. The Lions come into the game with a 1-4 record after their 3-2 league win over DeRuyter (DeRuyter, NY).
With the loss, Groton moves to 5-7 on the year. The Red hawks travel to Newark Valley (Newark Valley, NY) to play the Cardinals in a Interscholastic Athletic Conference (IAC) bout on Monday, October 6.
