Fans at Thursday's league battle between the West Perry Mustangs (Elliottsburg, PA) and the host Mifflin County Huskies (Lewistown, PA), saw West Perry's soccer squad hold off Mifflin County by a count of 3-2.

The Mustangs (6-7) will now prepare for their battle against Susquenita (Duncannon, PA). The Blackhawks enter the non-league battle with a 4-9 record. In their last battle, Susquenita was edged by Greenwood (Millerstown, PA), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Huskies battle the Waynesboro Indians (Waynesboro, PA) in a Mid-Penn - Colonial battle, on Monday, October 6. Mifflin County will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Indians enter the battle with a 3-11 record after their 3-1 league loss to Greencastle-Antrim (Greencastle, PA).
