The Weed Cougars (Weed, CA) soccer nipped the visiting Mt. Shasta Bears (Mt. Shasta, CA), 3-2 in Thursday's league challenge.

The Cougars now hold a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Butte Valley for a Shasta Cascade contest on Saturday, October 4. Weed will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Lost River (Merrill, OR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-11.
