Spectators at Thursday's non-league contest between the Lee County Trojans (Leesburg, GA) and the visiting Perry Panthers (Perry, GA), saw Lee County's softball squad nip Perry by a score of 12-5.

With the triumph, Lee County improves its record to 18-10 on the year. The Trojans travel to Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA) to face the Packers in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 9. The Packers go into the bout with a record of 13-15.

In their next game, the Panthers play the Wayne County Yellow Jackets (Jesup, GA) in a 4A Region 1 game, on Monday, October 6. Perry will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the game with a 18-6 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Effingham County (Springfield, GA).
