The Walnut Grove Warriors softball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Madison County Red Raiders to 2 in the Warriors league win on Thursday.

The Warriors now possess a 11-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eastside for a 4A Region 8 challenge on Monday, October 6. Walnut Grove will confront a Eagles team coming off a 5-2 league win over East Forsyth (Gainesville, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 21-0.

With the loss, Madison County falls to 10-16 on the year. The Red raiders travel to North Oconee (Bogart, GA) to meet the Titans in a 4A Region 8 challenge on Monday, October 6. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 11-12. North Oconee won 16-4 in their recent league challenge against Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, GA)
