Georgia High School Softball - Union County gets by North Cobb Christian

The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Union County Panthers (Blairsville, GA) and the visiting North Cobb Christian Eagles (Kennesaw, GA), saw Union County's softball squad nip North Cobb Christian by a score of 3-2.

With the triumph, Union County improves its record to 15-9 on the year. The Panthers travel to Coahulla Creek (Dalton, GA) to face the Colts in a 2A Region 7 contest on Tuesday, October 7. The Colts enter the bout with a record of 11-16. Coahulla Creek lost 9-1 in their recent league bout against North Cobb Christian (Kennesaw, GA)

Next up, the Eagles face the Rockmart Yellowjackets (Rockmart, GA) in a 2A Region 7 contest, on Tuesday, October 7. North Cobb Christian will attempt to advance on its 10-10 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 19-5 record after their 4-1 league win over Murray County (Chatsworth, GA).
