The Smithville Warriors softball team scored 19 runs and held the host Raytown South Cardinals to 0 in the Warriors non-league win on Thursday.

The Warriors now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Winnetonka for a Class 4 District 5 challenge on Monday, October 6. Smithville will meet a Griffins squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Kearney (Kearney, MO). The Griffins record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Raytown South moves to 1-10 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Excelsior Springs (Excelsior Springs, MO) to meet the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, October 6. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 6-2. Excelsior Springs lost 7-0 in their recent non-league battle against Kearney (Kearney, MO)
