Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Brea Olinda Wildcats (Brea, CA) and the host Pacifica Mariners (Garden Grove, CA), observed Brea Olinda's volleyball team top Pacifica by a count of 3-1.

The Wildcats (15-11) will now prepare for their contest against El Modena (Orange, CA). The Vanguards go into the North Hills battle with a 7-16 record. In their last battle, El Modena achieved victory over Magnolia (Anaheim, CA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Mariners now own a 10-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gahr for a non-league battle on Friday, October 3. Pacifica will encounter a Gladiators squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Bellflower (Bellflower, CA). The Gladiators record now stands at 20-9.
