In Thursday's league challenge, the host Cave Spring Knights volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Pulaski County Cougars.

The Knights (7-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Northside (Roanoke, VA). The Vikings enter the non-league challenge with a 0-11 record. In their last challenge, Northside was beaten by Staunton River (Moneta, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars meet the Blacksburg Bruins (Blacksburg, VA) in a River Ridge test, on Tuesday, October 7. Pulaski County will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Bruins go into the test with a 5-8 record after their 3-0 league win over Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA).
