In Thursday's league challenge, the host Westmoor Rams volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Jefferson Grizzlies.

The Rams (5-14) will now prepare for their challenge against San Mateo (San Mateo, CA). The Bearcats come into the Peninsula - Ocean challenge with a 6-9 record. In their last challenge, San Mateo edged Terra Nova (Pacifica, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Grizzlies play the Mills Vikings (Millbrae, CA) in a Peninsula - Ocean test, on Tuesday, October 7. Jefferson will attempt to advance on its 3-10 season record. The Vikings go into the test with a 9-15 record after their 3-0 league loss to Capuchino (San Bruno, CA).
