In Thursday's league challenge, the host Russell Red Devils volleyball squad scored a 3-0 win over the Lewis County Lions.
With the win, Russell advances its record to 21-5 on the season. The Red Devils host Rowan County (Morehead, KY) to face the Vikings in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 7. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 20-5. Rowan County won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Fairview (Ashland, KY)
The Lions now sport a 5-21 record. They put it on the line next when they host Raceland for a District 63 test on Wednesday, October 8.
