Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Vanguard Academy Knights (West Valley City, UT) and the visiting Merit Preparatory Academy Knights (Springville, UT), observed Vanguard Academy's volleyball team top Merit Preparatory Academy by a tally of 3-0.

The Knights (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against American Prep WV (West Valley City, UT). The Eagles go into the 2A Region 16 test with a 13-1 record. In their last test, American Prep WV achieved victory over Salt Lake Academy (Herriman, UT), 3-2, in a league test.

The Knights now own a 0-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams for a 2A Region 16 test on Tuesday, October 7. Merit Preparatory Academy will encounter a Marauders squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Rockwell (Eagle Mountain, UT). The Marauders record now stands at 2-19.
