Petersburg Vikings (Petersburg, WV) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Union Tigers (Mount Storm, WV), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings (14-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Pendleton County (Franklin, WV). The Wildcat come into the non-league challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Pendleton County was beaten by Hampshire (Romney, WV), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Pocahontas County Warriors (Dunmore, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 13. Union will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record.
