North Carolina High School Volleyball - Sugar Creek Charter bounced by Piedmont Community Charter

Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats (Charlotte, NC), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Patriots (13-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Ironmen enter the non-league challenge with a 11-8 record. In their last challenge, Cherryville was beaten by Burns (Lawndale, NC), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats meet the NCSSM: Morganton Dragons (Morganton, NC) in a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A challenge, on Tuesday, October 7. Sugar Creek Charter will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Dragons go into the test with a 7-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (Mooresboro, NC).
