Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Randolph County Tigers (Wedowee, AL) and the host Wellborn Panthers (Anniston, AL), observed Randolph County's volleyball team top Wellborn by a count of 3-1.
The Tigers (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against Woodland (Woodland, AL). The Bobcats go into the non-league battle with a 2-13 record. In their last battle, Woodland was defeated by Jacksonville Christian Academy (Jacksonville, AL), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
The Panthers now own a 1-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Saks for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 4. Wellborn will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Anniston (Anniston, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-12.
