Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Saxony Lutheran Crusaders (Jackson, MO) and the visiting Sikeston Bulldogs (Sikeston, MO), observed Saxony Lutheran's volleyball team top Sikeston by a count of 2-0.

The Crusaders (9-12) will now prepare for their contest against Portageville (Portageville, MO). The Bulldogs go into the non-league battle with a 22-4 record. In their last battle, Portageville achieved victory over New Madrid County Central (New Madrid, MO), 3-1, in a league battle.

The Bulldogs now own a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Poplar Bluff for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 2. Sikeston will encounter a Mules squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Northwest (Cedar Hill, MO). The Mules record now stands at 4-11.
