Fans at Thursday's league contest between the St. Helens Lions (St. Helens, OR) and the visiting Seaside Seagulls (Seaside, OR), observed St. Helens's volleyball team top Seaside by a count of 3-0.

The Lions (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Astoria (Astoria, OR). The Fishermen enter the 4A Cowapa contest with a 9-4 record. In their last battle, Astoria achieved victory over Scappoose (Scappoose, OR), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Seagulls now own a 0-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tillamook for a 4A Cowapa battle on Tuesday, October 7. Seaside will encounter a Cheesemakers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Scappoose (Scappoose, OR). The Cheesemakers record now stands at 6-6.
