In Thursday's league match, the Unioto Shermans (Chillicothe, OH) volleyball squad prevailed the host Zane Trace Pioneers (Chillicothe, OH), by a count of 3-1.

Next up, the Shermans battle the Huntington Huntsmen (Chillicothe, OH) in a Scioto Valley match, on Tuesday, October 7. Unioto will attempt to better on its 17-3 season record. The Huntsmen come into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 3-0 league win over Piketon (Piketon, OH).

With the loss, Zane Trace drops to 14-5 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Jackson (Jackson, OH) to clash with the Ironman/Ironladies in a non-league bout on Monday, October 6.
