The Zeeland East Chix volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Unity Christian Crusaders to 1 in the Chix league triumph on Thursday.

The Chix now have a 18-3 record. They play next when they host Grand Ledge for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 4. Zeeland East will play a Comets team coming off a 3-1 league loss to DeWitt (DeWitt, MI). The Comets record now stands at 11-10.

With the loss, Unity Christian drops to 7-7 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Kenowa Hills (Grand Rapids, MI) to play the Knights in a non-league outing on Saturday, October 4. The Knights come into the outing with a record of 3-13. Kenowa Hills won 3-1 in their recent non-league outing against Tri County Area (Howard City, MI)
