In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Northeastern Eagles soccer squad scored a close 8-1 win over the Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Griffins.

The Eagles (8-10) will now prepare for their battle against Currituck County (Barco, NC). The Knights go into the Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A battle with a 6-5 record. In their last battle, Currituck County was overwhelmed by First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC), 6-0, in a league battle.
