The Tyler Lions held off the visiting Lufkin Panthers football team by a count of 23-20 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Tyler upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Lions travel to Longview (Longview, TX) to encounter the Lobos in a 5A-1 Region II District 7 outing on Friday, October 27.
