The West Valley Eagles football team (Cottonwood, CA), was ripped 52-6 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA)

The Panthers (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Yreka (Yreka, CA). The Miners come into the Northern challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Yreka was ripped by Lassen (Susanville, CA), 47-14, in a league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Anderson for a Northern challenge on Friday, October 27. West Valley will meet a Cubs team coming off a 25-12 league loss to Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA). The Cubs record now stands at 3-5.
