In Monday's non-league outing, the host Freedom Patriots soccer squad scored a tight 2-0 win over the South Caldwell Spartans.

The Patriots (9-6) will now prepare for their outing against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league outing with a 0-15 record. In their last outing, Alexander Central by Watauga (Boone, NC), 1-0, in a non-league bout.

With the loss, South Caldwell moves to 5-9 on the year. The Spartans travel to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 22. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 10-3. St. Stephens won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against McDowell (Marion, NC)
