The Alleghany Trojans soccer squad (Sparta, NC), was overwhelmed 6-0 in Monday's league battle with the host West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC)

The Blackhawks (9-9) will now prepare for their battle against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams enter the Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A battle with a 9-7 record. In their last battle, Starmount tipped East Wilkes (Ronda, NC), 8-0, in a league battle.

In their next game, the Trojans meet the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A test, on Wednesday, October 22. Alleghany will attempt to move on its 3-12 season record. The Cardinals come into the test with a 0-18 record after their 8-0 league loss to Starmount (Boonville, NC).
